2020 WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION ATC UPDATE
Posted in News
The 2020 update to the ATC index and defined daily doses (DDDs) has been incorporated into Rx-info data and reports. In 2020, unlike 2019, there have been no changes to DDDs for antimicrobial products so these reports have not been affected. The defined daily dose (DDD) for liraglutide has been increased from 1.2mg to 1.5mg.
A new high-level ATC code has been created for calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) antagonists for treatment of migraine and the drugs erenumab, galcanezumab and fremanezumab are included in this new group.
